Virtual Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
About the Position:
I am currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Virtual Administrative Assistant to support a growing medical practice on a part-time basis, working 5-10 hours per week with significant opportunity for growth. This role is vital for ensuring smooth operation within the practice, assisting with patient scheduling, electronic medical record transitions, and various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative roles, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Scheduling and Rescheduling: Manage the appointment calendar for the practice, including booking, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments as needed. Assuring patients have completed documentation prior to appointment.
Overall calendar management: Support scheduling non-clinical meetings and managing calendar to optimize productivity.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Support: Assist in the transition from one EMR system to another, including data migration and system testing.
Prior Authorization Support: Fill in initial non-clinical information required for prior authorizations, and assist in gathering necessary documentation and follow-ups.
Billing and Contracting Paperwork: Support the completion of paperwork related to billing and contracting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Administrative Support: Perform additional administrative tasks as required, including document management, communication with patients and vendors, and supporting the practice’s administrative needs. This includes support with disability paperwork for patients (filling out demographic information), faxing documents for insurance or record sharing, getting release of information forms from collaborating providers, proofreading documents, basic research.

Proficient in using EMR systems and understanding of data privacy practices.
